NALS introduces a new way to get the
Basic Legal Training Course and to prepare for the ALS
Examination!
Dear NALS Member:
We want to alert you to a new and exciting
development that should be of benefit to individuals across the
U.S who are not within reach of a local NALS chapter but who
might want to have the opportunity to take the Basic Legal
Training course and to prepare for the ALS Examination. In
cooperation with Stetson University, we now have the course
online. This course is also applicable for persons already in
the legal support profession who want to expand their job
knowledge. The cost of the course is $795 including texts. We
know this is more than the cost that our chapters charge for
delivering on-site programs; the increased cost is in using
attorneys to deliver the program and the use of Stetson’s
Blackboard™learning management system. We are very enthusiastic
about reaching out to individuals that we have been unable to
reach before. And for chapters that want to promote the Basic
LTC but have too few people interested to run a regular course,
chapters can now recommend this online option for its
